This morning we drive north through coffee and pineapple plantations to the Aberdare National Park, perhaps one of the most exciting wilderness areas in Kenya. Enjoy lunch at The Ark's base hotel, the Aberdare Country Club, after which we move on to the Ark where we can enjoy game viewing from the comfort of our lodge. Leaving the Aberdare salient, we drive to the and plains of Samburu and find a variety of rare animals found in no other region. Among other residents of the Samburu reserve, we may sight the Reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra or the Beisa oryx during our morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning and late afternoon game drives give us the opportunity to search for more of the various species of the Samburu reserve. On request, our guide will take us on an optional visit to a Samburu Village where we can meet the Samburu people and learn about their lifestyles and cultures first hand. The Samburu Serena B,L,D

After an early morning game drive we leave for Mount Kenya. Mount Kenya is Kenya's highest mountain, straddling the equator and clad in permanent glaciers. Its terrain is covered by forests and has a rich animal habitat. We check into our elegant room at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club, one of Africa's most glamorous resorts. After breakfast we drive to Nairobi arriving at about midday. Check into your day room at your hotel. Lunch is at your discretion and can be at one of the many restaurants in the heart of the city. This afternoon is at your leisure and our guides will be happy to take you shopping for any curios or mementos you may wish to purchase. We end our journey with a feast of various game meats at the well-renowned Carnivore restaurant - an experience not to be missed before we take you to the airport for your flight home.
