An early departure from Nairobi with a lunch stop en-route to the park gate on the Sirimon trail. From here we ascend across a magnificent forest to Judmeier camp. This climb allows us to acclimatise to the altitude and admire the vegetation.
Overnight at Judmeier Camp (3,350m)

We climb and pass over a ridge to the spectacular Mackinders Valley, through rocks and groundsel. After a 5-6 hour walk we arrive at Liki North campsite (4,150m). The landscape is dramatic with giant Lobelias all around and the towering peaks ahead.
Overnight at Liki north campsite.

After following a rocky strip where various species of birds of prey nest, we trek to Shiptons Caves (4,450m) with spectacular views of Hausbergs Col (4,591m). These caves are dominated by the northern slope of the Batian and Nelion peaks.
Overnight at Shipton's campsite

A very early start up the northern ridge to reach Point Lenana (4,985m) in time to see the sunrise from the peak. On a clear day you may see Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak- the descent from the peak has a short break at Mackinder's camp before continuing to the Met. Station for lunch and then on to the park gate, where we meet our vehicle for our return to Nairobi.
Minimum guaranteed departure: 3 pax
